We are currently closed for renovations. Our aim is to complete the café and kitchen, office space, meeting rooms, and therapy room by late Spring / early Summer 2026. These additions will greatly enrich the overall experience for all event participants, visitors and volunteers and create an even more welcoming space.

We have two beautiful houses for smaller gatherings and will take advantage of further online activities and look for external venues for our larger programmes. Stay tuned and we’ll continue to share updates as things unfold.

At 200 square metres, this generously sized meeting space is equipped with the latest in audio-visual technology. Availabilities

We cater for a range of events, however cannot cater for:

Teenage parties including 18th and 21st birthday parties
Stag & Hen parties
Indoor fire ceremonies (tbc)
Outside bouncy castles or any other children’s entertainment outside
Events with loud DJ music (we have a sound limiter in place which provides a good level of sound)
1st birthday parties with DJ
Events which require a sound technician.

Alcohol: We do not allow large late-evening events with alcohol or loud DJ music. We will consider alcohol for wedding receptions, anniversaries and ceremonies with a sit-down meal only. No spirits or beer may be bought into the venue.

Monday – Friday: 08.00 – 22.00
Saturday: 08.00 – 22.00 (min 5 hours)
Sunday: 12.00 – 20.00 (min 4 hours)

Hall set up and clearing away to be included in the event hours
The venue gates will be locked at closing time. Music must stop one hour before the end time to ensure the hall is vacated and left in the same condition as when you arrived.
Allow a minimum of 1 hour to clear up, and allow 15 mins to exit the venue car park, before your end time. Extra costs applied if exiting is not at agreed time. (£150-250)
Weddings and engagements, and other special occasions usually take 2-3 hours to be cleared up by the hirer.

Hall Dimensions:

Table & Chairs:
Tables (6ft x 2.5ft) x18 (hall & foyer), and chairs x160 are included in the hire and stored in the hall.

Occupancy
Standing: comfortable 200 people including stage.
Seated theatre style: 160
Seated buffet style: 144 (no dance floor), 8 person table

The stage is a fixed feature, additional costs apply to remove. Stage and cupboards are not to be moved by hirer.

Entertainment & Sound

Entertainment must be approved by venue.
Small soft play areas inside max height 5ft.
Bouncy castles inside no higher than 8.6ft, otherwise will be turned away.
No children’s entertainment outside and children are to stay inside the hall at all times, under supervision.
Additionally no smoke machines and such like.
It is recommended that you bring your own sound system, which can be connected to a phone or computer. On occasions the Venue will permit guests to use our in-house sound system, but recommend you to bring a back-up in case of technical issues. The Venue cannot be held responsible for the failure of our sound system. Please ensure your device is updated with any new system changes by your provider.
For stage performances including musicians the hirer has to provide a sound technician.
A sound limiter is installed which limits music to a maximum of 80db inside the hall.
All music has to stop 1 hour before the event finishes, as during this time guests will need to leave for you to clear and clean the venue.

Catering

A foyer is available to set out cold and warm food.
We currently cannot allow any cooking on-site, inside venue or outside venue including in catering vans.
Microwaves are not allowed on site, and smaller electrical items such as a hot dog maker or popcorn maker are allowed in the kitchenette only, not in the hall. No candy floss machines.
The Venue must be notified in advance of any electrical equipment (PAT certified), and we suggest not to rent out equipment before the Venue has approved it.

Decoration

Decorations are not allowed to be fixed onto the walls, door frames, outside sign, and anywhere on the premises. Decorators often ask for stage lights to be switched on, this is an extra charge so please add to your enquiry for quotation. No stapling decorations to the stage. No confetti or such material. No flames or lit candles, except for catering chaffing dishes serving food.

For events over 100 guests: All rubbish must be taken away at the end of the evening. Allow 2-3 hours for clear up in your event time, to finish clearing by 20.00 Sunday or 22.00 Mon – Sat.

Car Park

We have parking for 8-12 cars onsite, and you may allocate these for specific guests or suppliers.

The other guests are directed to park on nearby roads such as Letchworth Drive, Hayes Lane, Mead Way and Cameron Road. Do not park in Fair Acres as restrictions are in place. (We advise you to adhere to any parking rules & restrictions on local roads, as this is subject to change).

Important: A prompt exit from the car park and venue is required at the scheduled end time—no loitering. Otherwise, the host will be liable for a late exit fee. Likewise, loud voices—including shouting or screaming—and music are not permitted at any time; failure to comply may result in the host’s deposit being withheld.

Customer Suppliers

All customer suppliers are required to hold the necessary insurance and to complete their own risk assessment form on arrival, and to present to Amrita Hall if requested.
