In response to the needs and suffering shared by the millions of people who come to her, Amma founded a global network of charities called Embracing the World. Projects span the entire social spectrum, from health and education to housing, environment and disaster relief. Amma has spoken at the UN numerous times and has received global awards for her contribution to peace. She was nominated by the Indian government to chair the Civil Society 20 (C20) for India’s 2023 Presidency of the G20.
